Attention from the participants is the most important thing in the presentation. We often find participants that are bore with the presentation because the presentation is monotone. Adding music can be the best solution to grab the participant’s attention. Most people only use the Microsoft PowerPoint as a visual tool, but actually adding music can spark up the atmosphere and makes the explanation clearer. It only needs simple steps to add music among slides.
The first thing to do is of course prepare the music we want, to get the best quality; we can use one on mp3 form. If we have the music, then we can move on to our PowerPoint page and click the “insert” menu and choose “movie and sound” then click “sound from file”. When we have selected the music, a box will appear to give us options of how the music will be started.
If we want the music to play continuously among slides, we can use the Custom Animation feature. We only need to select one of the music then do the right click and select Custom Animation option. Those are the simple steps of how to add music to our PowerPoint presentation. The music in our PowerPoint will holds participant’s attention even when we are making a long presentation. It also makes the explanation can be understood easily because audiovisual explanation is proved to give more stimulation to the brain.
